Webster Lake hydroplane race is cancelled

WEBSTER – It's official, the 4th Annual Thunder on the Lake hydroplane race will not happen. The primary sponsor for the event, the American Canadian Hydroplane Association (ACHA), withdrew its support for the Webster race last week after losing money in races earlier this season.

Indian Princess move to Webster delayed by CT State Police

The Indian Princess paddle wheel boat had been scheduled to continue its journey to Indian Ranch at Webster Lake last night (Monday) after a layover at the Rhode Island/Connecticut border to allow for  inspection by the Connecticut State Police. The Indian Princess paddle wheel boat completed the first leg of its 70-mile journey from Barrington, Rhode Island, to its new home at Indian Ranch in Webster, Mass., early this morning, and is now at a scheduled layover near the Rhode Island/Connecticut state line.
