America's night out against crime is August 5

WEBSTER - Towns all over the US will be participating in this year's National Night Out, and Webster is among them. First introduced in 1984, America's Night Out Against Crime began an effort to promote community involvement in crime prevention activities and police-community partnerships, and now has more than 16,000 communities taking part every year.

The Webster Police Department and North Village Winn Management are the sponsors for Webster's night out, which will take place August 5, from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Webster Lake. Various public safety departments will be displaying safety tips and apparatus. There will be hot dogs, burgers, drinks, watermelon and popcorn, as well as a DJ, clown, games, and bounce house. This is a free event.
