Free dementia care presentation

The St. Camillus Adult Day Health Center and the St. Camillus Health Care Center together present a free educational program on dementia.  Jadranka Grek, a Certified Alzheimer’s Dementia Care Trainer and Manager of the Memory Care Neighborhood at St. Camillus, will present an overview on dementia.  The presentation has been designed specifically for caregivers of those affected by dementia.  The educational program will provide you with real life skills and techniques to help your relationship with your loved one flourish.  The presentation will take place on August 18th from 5:30pm-8:00pm at the St. Camillus Adult Day Health Center located at 670 Linwood Ave in Whitinsville

The St. Camillus Adult Day Health Center provides person centered activities, a specialized fitness program, transportation services, and high quality dining services.  We also provide assistance with personal care provided by professional staff, and medication and medical monitoring by licensed nurses.  St Camillus has been providing care and services to the elders of the Blackstone Valley for 50 years.  The organization is owned and operated by a local, volunteer, Board of Directors, many of whom are well known and trusted in the community.  The Center is the only non-profit Adult Day Health Center in the Blackstone Valley, which means that our only goal is to provide the highest level of care possible to our customers.

Participants of the Adult Day Health Center require skilled nursing due to a medical condition and need assistance with bathing, dressing, toileting, and/or mobility.  The Center is opened Monday thru Friday from 8:00am to 4:00pm and participants can attend 2 to 5 days a week.  The cost of the program is covered by MassHealth, State Home Care services, some other insurances and reasonable private pay rates.  Please contact Lisa Bernard, Director at 508-266-2054 for further information on Adult Day Health services.  Or to RSVP for the August 18th educational program, contact Diane Miller at 508-234-7306 or [email protected].
