Loralee Dubeau, a trained flower essence consultant, will provide information on how flower essences can help to ease the emotional effects to patients and their family members that come along with the diagnosis of breast cancer. It is especially important for those undergoing conventional therapy to treat the whole self as emotions can have a profound effect on the physical state.
Rachel Marshall, a certified reflexologist, will speak about the benefits of reflexology to improve the quality of life by helping to bring needed relief from neuropathy, tension, joint stiffness, and insomnia to those undergoing treatment for breast cancer. It is often used during chemotherapy treatments for relaxation and rejuvenation.
Lectures will be followed by an opportunity to connect one-on-one with members of the PinkHippy.org Bosom Buddy Network. Healthy snacks and refreshments will be served.
