HANDBELL CONCERT COMING TO OXFORD FIRST CHURCH
The New England Ringers, a fifteen member handbell ensemble of highly energetic musicians, is coming to Oxford First Congregational Church, U.C.C. Saturday June 21, 7:30 pm.
NER is touring this spring with Nocturnal Journey, a concert filled with beautiful music including the haunting Moon Over Ruined Castle honoring the Japanese cherry blossoms; Nocturnal Fantasy, and When You Wish Upon a Star. Lively selections include William Tell Overture, Tarantella and Under the Sea. NER rings a core instrument of 6 ½ octaves of Schulmerich Handbells and 7 octaves of Malmark Choirchimes. Solos will be featured on their newly acquired orchestral chimes and Whitechapel Handbells. One of the major goals of NER is to introduce audiences to the incredible music that can be made on this impressive instrument. NER, now based in Worcester, MA. is touring throughout New England this season performing in NER member churches. Directed by Edward Henderson.
Advance tickets are $12.50 adult, $5 youth, $35 family. Tickets at the door, if available, are $15.

FCC is at 355 Main St., Oxford across from the town gazebo (Rte 12). The church is handicap accessible.
