Leslie Reichert has always been someone I looked to as the role model for a successful entrepreneur. Founder and operator of The Back Door Vacuum and Homekeeping Shop since 1990, she has become not only our local green cleaning expert but Martha Stewart Living Radio’s cleaning expert, eHow’s cleaning coach presenter, and Kmart’s new cleaning coach as well. Leslie’s proof of success is evident through the quality of her work, her commitment to her family and her passion, and her true generous spirit to be of value whenever the opportunity arises.
The beauty of the formula:
Give, Ask, Receive.
In our interview she shared with me her “secret formula” to her success. Leslie said she learned it from Zig Ziglar many years ago when he said that when you help someone else get what they want, they will help you get what you want. Living by this philosophy, she incorporated her “secret” 3-step formula: Give, Ask, Receive. The giving part simply means that to give something of value away (information, a sample, etc). The asking part is to ask for how they may help you (a referral, etc). The receiving part is simply that – to be willing to receive. It reminds me of the old saying that what you give out, comes back to you. How very true that this is “the secret” to a successful life and business.
